east canyon 2-6-05

went to east canyon sun morn after work fell down the hill bent my auger broke my rod took way to much time and effort drill holes with my bent auger so i stayed in one spot started catching fish at about 11 the school would swimm by about every 20 minutes or so and i would see alot of fish and get alot of bites but couldnt seem to hook them with a broken rod did manage to get 2 nice bows on the ice chartruse heads and tubes tipped with wax worms seemed to work the best the people fishing near by caught quite a few nice fish ice was about 6 inches thick and very noisey was fishing in 55 feet of water and most fish were in about 35 feet down

Are we somehow related??? It seems like something that would happen to me. At least you caught something.

Sounds like a tough way to get down to the ice but at least you didn't break any bones. Did you have any problems getting on or off the ice? WH2
