Hey there, I've been hoping to hit Quail Creek and possibly Sand Hollow this spring, but I've never been there before.
When does the largemouth action heat up there? Any good info about either place? Sorry for the vague questions, but I'm just looking for some info.
I will probably be throwing flies, FWIW.
Thanks!

this is just second hand knowledge but it might be worth a try....
pre-spawn fishing is most successful with plastic worms and jigs fished deep and slow pre spawn takes place about now through the first part of march. bass spawn in march and while shallow poppers could be effective. crayfish are also the basses main forage so imatating them could be successful.
I dont know if this is what you wanted but i hope it helps

I haven't fished down at Quail Creek yet. But if there is crawfish in there you might wan't to try some of the stick worms I make in changeable craw. And changeable craw with the orange tail. Good luck! Please give us an update when you return.
