getting geared up for the spring run
#1
the reels greesed and oiled ,rods all cleaned , guides polished and coated with some rain-x (safe for my rods finish ) .
flyes tied , plenty of pencil leads and split shot , hooks all sharpened .
still searching for that line dave showed me , it's real , just gotta find a distributer that carrys it .
waders , boots , vest ready to go .
even a couple boats this year if needed , i'm all set just about .
the only thing needed is for the weather to break and the fish to cooperate .

well you are up on me, I am still soaking in the ice for what it is worth...

the bite has been slow in the mornings and comes to a dead hault at noon out on the open lake...

I had a hold of this one a few times this year, He is not by any means the monster I have been talking about.

This one should give a hint as to how healthy that monster is just by the girth of this little 25 incher... The fish come fat from my lake....

funny part is I told a guy to put his spearing shak where I placed my tip up months ago. I would have been tickled that he got rid of them pike from my gill hole.... even if it was by spearing....
