SoCal Boats Yet To Go To Summer Schedule
#1
Hey there guys,

It's still a little early for the SoCal sportfishing landings to go to their Summer schedules. The fact is ...... it's not always the landing as sometimes the operators dictate their cast-off time. When they do change, the most affected by the schedule change are the 1/2 and 3/4 day boats.

Unchanged, the overnighters will often leave around 9 or 10pm while the full day boats often take off at around 5am.

More info when the majority have gone to Summer Schedule.

Question for TubeN2, I've heard of what's called an extended 1/2 day ride up where you go sometimes. Isn't that just a not-quite-3/4 day or .....?

Whereas 1/2 day boats are usually from 5 1/2 to 6 hrs, some of the 1/2 day boats that I have been on will actually stay 1 more hour to fish as long as the conditions are right and it make the customers happy.

The 3/4 day that I have changed to now, is scheduled from 7am to 5pm. They usually come back to the dock by 6pm or even 7pm sometimes.[cool]
