LBH floatin
#1
EE Gads!!!!
Went to LBH and had 1 bite on a minnow.....
Fished for 2 1/2 hrs.

Lost my 2 way (Radio) in the water, sunk in the tube, got real wet.

Lost a new lure that I just bought at sportsmans.

Da*n near lost the cell phone... forgot to leave it in the truck.

Storm moved in.

This was the second time I had been tubin in my life.
I think God wants me to stay on shore.

Talked with shore fishers and 2 tubers..... NATA from all of them.

All in all........... This was the worst day I have ever had fishin in my life...... forgot to mention, I also spent $100 on fishen stuff...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not meaning to bring anyone down, just had to vent .......

You sunk your tube ? Or was it just your radio that sunk ? Either way, bummer dude - I've lost things to the "depths" before.

Before launching, I try to remind myself of a few things:
1. If it was designed to float - it might.
2. Just about everything can sink.
3. More than one thing can happen at any given moment.
4. The depth of the water may not matter too much.
5. Assume every thing will get wet.
6. If one thing is absolutely needed, a back-up is too.
7. If I've forgotten it, I'll know as soon as I'm too far to go back and get it.

Every sailor that has sailed, has seen something sink.

As far as the tube went. I don't think I put enough air into it. The tube didn't sink I was sinking into the seat and the water was comming up over the top of my chest waders. The back part of the tube was not inflated so that posed an issue.
I was just in a real hurry to get out there and as you all said "Didn't plan."

Im thinking of hitting Schofield today. But I will be on shore. The wife is going and I only have the 1 tube.

I agree with the Murphy Law / Marshall Law thing......LOL

[green]Phoning or radio talking while trying to fish? Thats way too much multi-tasking for me. I just leave the communication devices at the beach. We didn't need know speaker boxes when we started with wooden tubes.[blush]

[cool] [#505000]Note to Law:........ Inflate tube BEFORE launching!!![/#505000]

[#505000]To bad bro, it reminds me of the time I went ice fishing and lost an auger blade after drilling only 2 holes. I'll tell you what it made for a LONG discouraging ice trip. Although to compare the two trips I guess I would have had to have fallen through the ice!! [Tongue][/#505000]

[#505000]I'm a tubing rookie myself but it's a hoot. You should try to hit one of the floatilla's. [/#505000]

Hey Guys,

When it comes to things going wrong out fishing, Murphys law doesn't apply. O'Learys law does. It states simply "Sure, & that Murphy was a [url "mailto:##@**^%"]##@**^%[/url]# optimist.

My son and I were the two tubers that you talked to at Lbh. As I told you there the only bit either of us had resulted in a tug-of-war with something. When the minnow parted, the something got the biggest part leaving me with the hook and the head.
