First stop was at huntington fished there for 2 hours and 3 bites on spoons and that was it.Saw 1 fish caught while i was out there and it was small. The dam was covered with ice so couldnt fish the spot that i would have liked to so we left.We then went to e-lake and it was almost non stop fishing there. We ended catching about 20 in an hour and a half. Fish were not that big today but they looked healthy. We kept some of the bigger ones for dinner tonite. We even had double hookups at times.Would have stayed longer but the wind got really bad up there and made it extremly cold![pirate]

Hey Ocean,
Thanks for the report the cool pictures. Fishhound and I were going to fish Huntington and e-lake but decided on Willard. It look's like it's still a little cool up there.

Congrats on a fine outing. The water looks higher than it has been recently, about how much has it come up?

Looks like a lot of fun! I'm sure your kids still had fun in the cold. Did you guys catch all your fish on the spoons?

We fished Huntington on Saturday morning, and about froze our cans off. Didn't expect it to be that chilly still. I haven't ever fished e-lake, but I'll be getting to it this summer. Did you try any minnows, or just flat fish? Sounds like you had fun.

Great news. They must have either plugged the hole, or they sure have some massive pumps going.

i have not heard anything about pluging the hole as of yet.. i am keeping a close eye on this as best i can..
the massive pumps your talking about would be all the snow and the sun melting it i think..
last i heard from the mine was they was going to close the mine and seal it up and let the lake fill it up then the lake will start to fill back up as well..
now i'm not sure whats going on.. the mine just brought back 80 layed off workers and is reopening the mine..
i'm hopeing that they have sealed up that shaft so the lake well be safe and just going to another area.. see the mine and the power plant have some legal things going on and i dont think the mine pepole want any detailes on any of the lake thing getting out tell it's all settled.. i only get bitt's here and there from guy's i know that work at the mine and power plant..
but there has been no offecial word on wether it's been fixed or not as of yet.. that i know of..

We used spoons ,minnows and worms. We caught about the equal amount of fish with each.
