Wiperslayer and I fished DC with Fonduvfishin on Friday from 6:30am to a little after 12 noon. We were trying to catch walleye but no luck. We tried bottom bouncers then jigs and ended the morning trolling, all we caught for our effort was a smallmouth and a rainbow. Thanks Larry, I really enjoyed getting out on the pond and fishing with you.
Saturday I fished with Halojm at Willard from 9:30am to a little after 12 noon. We started trolling at the Feed lot and picked up a few small wipers, then a couple of walleye and a few more wipers. We called it a day when our luck ran cold after catching a catfish and having a couple of crossed lines. Thanks Rob for the great morning on the Bay, I look forward to getting out there again with you. WH2

Thanks Curt for a fun day. Sorry about the boys taking their shirts off. I knew no respectable fish would want to jump in the boat after they did that. Still was a lot of fun. Next time we'll try for some big-uns. Hopefully at the Gorge.

Hey Curt,
Next time you get ready to hit D.C., send me a P.M. first.
We're catching walleye in 7 to 10 feet of water on the north end.
Heck, I caught one off the island park boat ramp saturday morning while Brad was parking my truck.
Brad and I caught over 25 eyes on saturday. All small,13 to 16 inch. Using 1/16 oz. jigs and our custom dark body chartreuse tail plastics. Fishing in the trees.
Sunday, Scott came up with me and we did better on naturistic crawfish hot n tots. Casting from an anchored spot in 9' of water. Ripping through the moss and trees.
Scott got a 25" eye and all the fish wre a bit bigger.
Monday, Brad went up without me and fished with some other folks. They ended up with seven 20"+ eyes on jigs, and a bunch of the smaller ones.
Hey Pat, thanks for the jigs. Those orange chartreuse, 1/16, brass hook jigs are awesome. I only lost one jig all weekend. Just had to bend the hooks back after dozens of hangups, but I didn't have to re-tie as much as Brad.
Take care,
Bob

Hey my friend, where you been? It has been so long since I've read a post from you I thought maybe you had moved. Chuck and I are planing a night trip on the 19th to DC so this info will come in handy. We fished the North side but it was later in the day and I'm sure the fish had moved deeper. We did mark a few fish on one of the points but only picked up one smally. It was amazing that no wind came up during the time we were there or we might have caught a few with crankbaits. Next time I'll make sure I PM you, I should have known you had those eye figured out by now. Thanks again for the info.
