Thanks, it was a fun day today. I need to have a crawdad eating party. I boiled them until done then ate about 50 of em, I am stuffed now and i have about 180 to still eat. The wife wont eat them unless I de-shell them so I have some work to do. Smile

Did you tell her she has to suck the brains out of the heads? Now that would be a treat!

[cool]Craig and Cliff, that was a fun day of fishing and 'dading. Thanks for taking me along. Those 'dads sure did taste great last night. I totally pigged out and probably ate a hundred of them or so. Wish I would have landed more fish, but it still was good times! Can't wait to tube that place in the fall when the water temps cool down and the cuts come into the shallower water more frequently. Who knew that dropshotting works so well for cut fishing?

Hey Craig, great report! I was wondering how you "clean" crawdads. I've always cooked them alive, because I've herd they can become toxic if you kill them an extended period of time before cooking them, not to mention I like to suck the spices out of the front before I eat the tail.

Ack! Try some bass guts. Might cover up the slimer juice. Wink

Try amonia? Or better yet a sanitizer with lemon in it?

Baking soda neutralizes most odors. Including slimer smell.

Its only a Cobra. Time to buy a new boat. We been fishin' bass style at Strawberry for years. Big fish like spinnerbaits.

Try some Scent-A-Way shampoo and body soap. They also make a spray, to remove odors from clothing. You can find it at Walmart in the sporting goods section, it's the only cleaner I have found that will remove the fish smell, it's even better than baking soda!

I once made a KILLER seafood salad with a bunch of crawdads. Just a thought for the extras you have.

I hear you but I just can't see the price tag 45 to 50 big ones maybe in the spring.
