I bought the Creek Co. ODC Sport from Cabelas with a muzzle-loader before they open up and I saved $40 because shipping was cheaper than sales tax. Cabelas has them for $175.
Took it up to Trial Lake for the final trial run. I have had it out before and not I have the kinks worked out about how I want it rigged.
I thought it was cake to put together and break down, it does take a few minutes though so don't. Breaks down real nice for storage.
They say it only weights 55 pounds but that is without your gear.
It only has 8' pontoons so it can't go on a river but I don't plan on doing any of that anyway. I wanted something light-weight but a little bigger than my tube for other fishing needs.
All in all I thought it handled really well and love it. I still plan on using my tube. It's a lot easier to carry if any walking is needed and I often will hike in to favorite fishing spots.
I rigged it up with a four pole/net holder on back and single pole in front. I put a velcro strap for an extra security to hold my poles in during transport to or while I'm on the water. The back shelf worked out great for my cooler, bait box, and other small stuff I want on hand. The storage compartments on the side are good sizes. The toon is small and light weight so there's room for the necessary tackle but not my whole tackle box.
Like I said it's small and light weight so I can definitely say it's not meant for serious pontooning on a river or lakes. It may be able to handle a small electric motor but I'm not going to try it. I'm not going to get that serious. I got it for light, quick trips where I want a little more than my tube.
