[cool][#0000ff]Suspected that Utah Lake ice might be iffy, after the few warm days. Stopped at Lindon to verify. Gate was locked (padlock) at 7 AM. Walked down to the launch ramp. 1/2" of ice for the first three feet and then rotten 2" ice after that. NOPE. Didn't want to walk on the docks. They were icy.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Headed up the canyon to Deer Creek. Stopped at the State Park by Walsburg Bay. Ramp was dry and open water. Two or three bank tanglers but did not stop to take a pic or chat with them. Stopped at the Island ramp. Same thing. Ramp clean and dry. Three boats visible, one just launching about 8 AM. Parking lots plowed.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Several folks fishing off the "island", which is now a peninsula. Could not see if they were doing any good. Air temp 22 degrees. No ice visible anywhere.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Next stop Jordanelle. Air temp about the same...in the low 20's. No ice visible anywhere. The main ramp was clean and dry, with only a little snow left in the parking area after plowing. Docks have been moved away from the ramp.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Drove over to the PWC launch. Ramp clean and dry. A couple of "bottle baiters" each had one 14" bow. One said there were some good 18" bows coming in last week and that there was a large planting of catchable size last week. Might be a good place to take the kids for some open water bank fishing.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Didn't even take the rods out of the car, but had a nice drive with the Mrs.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Merry Christmas all. [/#0000ff]
