Rumor has it, I will be headed in that direction for a business trip and it sounds like I will be there off and on quite a bit from Mid April to June,July, or even August(all of the details have not been finalized, but it sounds like I am going). I'd like to get at least a little fishing in while I'm on the east coast this time, and I know I will be there for a few weekends, so I'll have some free time - I'd hate to waste all that free time by not fishing.
Anyone familiar with that area at all ? Any recommendations ?

Fishhound, I'm heading to Vt May 12th for 5 days on Lake St. Katherine. I have fished a few lakes on the mid west end of the line.[New York border.] Any help I can give you I will. We fish it twice a year for Bass and Pike.

I'm on the northern tip of South Carolina, think you'll end up that far south?

Hey gdn443,
Where is St. Katherine ? I will be in the Burlington VT. area for a while. Is that close to where you were refering ? The only thing I am familiar with is Lake Champlain. Any idea as to where I might fish up there ? Of course I will be limited to the shore(without waders). But, I might bring a variety of fishing gear if it opportunities look promising.
i'm not sure of the scheduling yet but your time frame seems about right when I could be in Burlington.
I could also maybe get a chance to get to the coast down around CT for some salt water action. But, as I mentioned, I don't know all of the particulars yet. Mainly at this point, I just know I'll be in the Burlington area off and on for a month or two - just long enough to miss most of the good fishing here in Utah(except, I think I might get to be here for the annual BFT Willard Wiper tourney). Everything is still kind of up in the air and I'm waiting for the plans to get firmed up.
