Just wondering if anyone has fished Porcupine, Hyrum, or Mantua lately? How is the trout action with this warmer weather finally showing up?

I may be mistaken, but it seems like those waters have only recently iced off--actually they may even be iced over... Not sure, hope someone will help you out.

Heres what I know, but it is all second hand as I've been tied up with a ton of school work:
Porcupine: Ice is off, seemed a little slower than usual with the ice off fishing, best success is up by the inlet. Hyrum: Heard it has been really murky water and the bite a little slow. Not sure about the river below, but my guess is it would be a little slow, there is likely a lot of feed coming over the spillway and the fish will be pretty full. The high water will make it tough to fish, but not impossible. Mantua: I've heard a mix of reports. From shore it has been really slow, if you can get out in a boat and know how to do it there has been some great success for bass. (But I don't have a boat, nor do I know a thing about bass). Should get better for bluegill quickly though. Heres some ideas you may not typically think of this time of year for some big trout. The logan river holds some big browns and if your are willing to explore and find pockets of slow water (like behind a boulder or along an undercut bank) they respond very well to rapalas or worms. At Hyrum and Porcupine if you can catch a female full of eggs, try fishing with the eggs tied up in a mesh bag about the size of a marble. If you can find some active fish they hit it and hard. If I can get myself down to work today I'm hoping to take a little time on one or two days next week to check a couple of these out. If I really do get out I'll be sure and let you know how it goes.
