minn kota question??

I am looking for a bow mount trolling motor for my boat.I dont know what size and thrust is right for my boat.I have a 20ft open bow ski/fish boat its not a real deep v boat,but it is a fiberglass.Also what batterys work the best for trolling motors??

You'll get alot of different responses to this question. I personally have a MotorGuide with gel batteries. The extra expense of gel batteries are more than made up when you don't have to recharge each trip and they last more than 2 years like conventional batteries. As far as size, get the biggest you can afford. The first time the wind comes up and attempts to slam you into shore you'll be glad you have plenty of power.
