Strawberry Report
#1
Fished Strawberry this morning from 6:45-10am. Launched at Strawberry bay and stayed in the bay all morning. The wind blew off and on and made for a bumpy ride. We boated 10 between the two of us (5 apiece). Probably lost another 6-7 during the fight and had at least a dozen more good strikes. We were trolling shallow diving pointers. Most were in the slot with a couple of mini-me's and the biggest going 21 or so. Looked like rain so we left the digital in the truck...sorry.

Also, we had a group of 30 pelicans fly right by our boat. They were all flying well "below the radar" at about 6" above the surface of the water. Amazing sight, almost better than the fishing.

Glad you could get into some fish up there. It is a great place to be this time of the year. I hope those pelicans weren't munching on any spawning trout yet! Cool birds, but they need to do something up there to keep them away during the spawn.
