White marlin, a rarity for Turks and Caicos, is definitely the fish of the month. One boat went 3 for 7 this week and the Gwendolyn is two for two. All the fish have been taking large blue marlin lures just offshore at the hotel on Parrot Cay. It is still early for Blue Marlin but we released two blues this week amidst all the white’s. The drill remains the same pulling lures just offshore (1,000 feet plus) with most of the bites happening midday. It seems without explanation that almost all billfish bites in the last twelve years comes after 10:00am. Some good dolphin and wahoo action offshore. Yellowfin tuna at the offshore humps 50 miles away has been excellent for those wanting a break from the billfishing. As expected as the water temperature heats up so does the blue marlin action.
