Caspers Pond? Skylers Pond?
#1
Does anyone know where Caspers pond or Skylers pond are?
They are listed as having been stocked in Cache County.
I've never heard of them. Anyone?

Yeah - Skylar's pond is the little pond over by the batting cages at Willow Park. Has a small wooden dock, lots of weeds. They changed the rules this year - used to be 14-and under and disabled only. Now anyone can fish, but there's a two fish limit - regarless of species.

My kids like it, cuz the fish bite. Lots of hungry little rainbows that are new enough to not have learned the way of the hook and bobber. It was hot at first ice off. Little jigs, worms, lots of strikes.
It gets very weedy. There were a number of pretty reasonable dead cats at ice off. Guess they didn't make it. My son hooked up a bluegill also. I actually pulled out a decent rainbow - over a foot long. Most are smaller that I've seen.

Word is they are stocking the community ponds weekly. Past year's they've held "free fishing day" down there. Lots of educational activities, training, practice - good stuff!

I searched for Casper's on this site - but it doesn't show.
