Lowrance?

I have a lowrance x135 on my boat. I have another eagle finder mounted on the front which has a lot less power and works part of the time - I think the high power of the 135 messes it up. My question is - is it possible to put just a screen in the front of the boat that reads what the 135 is reading without having to get a second complete unit that is compatible with the 135?

I wanted to ask this here before I walk into cabelas or sportsmans and ask those that have no idea. []

Check the frequency of both units' transducers. If they are the same frequency, they will interfere once the water is deep enough for their cones to intersect. If you can swap the transducer of one to one of a different frequency, you can operate both at any depth.

There are advantages of having to finders on your boat with their own transducers--and ideally the one on the bow uses a bow-mounted transducer.

Thanks DW - The bow transducer is in the trolling motor - minnkota. Minnkotas universal transducer is compatible with 192-200 khz finders. My lowrance is 200 khz and the eagle is 200 khz so I guess they are interfering with each other. I don't want to buy another finder if I don't have to - a second screen would be cheaper possibly if I can do that.

I think you can now add a second display with some of the Lowrance units using the new LowranceNet cable, connectors, etc. It's brand new technology for Lowrance so I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
