More perch at Zuma

This is a picture of my friend Ben (FishingDentist) with the biggest perch of the day. We caught over 30 perch each today. Ben (I call him the perch killer) caught more quantitiy as well as quality. He caught some nice slabs but most of what we caught were of the smaller variety. Usual setup with the motoroil/red flk grub on a carolina rig.

One interesting thing to note is that Ben and I were using identical setups. The only thing different was that I was using squid smelly jelly and he was using anchovie salt smelly jelly. He really caught more fish and bigger fish than I did fishing side by side. Makes me wonder...
