As I was walking into Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday, I stopped
and read the fishing report for Willard. It said the "Moon Phase" has
messed up the fishing on various days. In other words, some days it was on and some days it was off.
I am not convinced, but maybe I am wrong???? I think it could have some effect, but not much???

O IT HAS ALOT OF EFFECT..... MOSTLEY IF ITS FULL AND A CLEAR NIGHT THE FISH FEED ALL NIGHT AND REAST DURRING DAY HRS. IF ITS CLOUDY AND A FULL MOON IT HAS WAY LESS EFFECT. JUST LIKE HUNTING DEER WILL FEED ALL NIGHT LONG AND SLEEP ALL DAY WHEN ITS FULL. ELK DO THE SAME. MY FREINDS AND I HAVE CHASED EYES AT FULL MOON PERIODS FOR YRS. AND SOME OF ORE BEST FISHING EVER HAS BENN FROM MOON UP ABOUT 9,30 PM TIL 3 AM.

the moon phase dose effect the time fish bite to some extent in my mind.. the bright light of the full moon will let the fish feed at night there for makeing the day biat alittle slower.. i have found that in the after noon tho there is a bite during the full moon.. but only for a short time and catching it right can make all the diffrence..
i'm going out tonight to test this Myth by fishing all night to see if they do bite better at night with a full moon!

I was out yesterday evening. I got on the water about 6:00pm and fished till 9:30 or so. Fishing was good when I first got there, excellent as the sun went down, and shut off when dark set in and the moon came up.
Probably nothing but my frame of mind, bait selection and expectations of how to fish at sundown and moon up. I don't know .... maybe the moon.

Ok, for what it's worth, (probably nothing) I've had the best bass fishing days this year, mid day, on the 8th. and the 10th.??????[shocked] The mid day comment was for my Bud, TD. [crazy][crazy][crazy] TD - don't jump on "the nothing", cheap, too easy ---------.[sly]

One of the best night fishing trips was with a full moon my wife can vouch for this especially since she outfished me.The moon was behind clouds and as soon as the clouds cleared the fish turned on! So in my opinion the moon does make a big difference. Also i have caught eyes at yuba at night when the moon was out and bright.

Took the family out and tested the "myth" and did pretty good. No Wipers, but we concentrated on the catfish and caught a lot of decent ones. We also managed some bluegill.
Right now seems to be really good for the channel cats. My kids sure liked reeling them in.

we caugh a lot of smaller splake.. but did manage to get 5 splake in that where in the 4 and 5 lbs rainge and one that was 27" and about 6 lbs. i tryed to get a pic of that one but my buddy being the spaze he is launched it about 20' in the air over the boat trying to hold on to it for the pic.. funny as all get out and he was bummed that the biggest fish he has ever cought at fishlake got away like that.. but that's all part of the game!
i did snap a pic of one that he cought that was 24" and around 4 lbs.. here it is!
just rember the guy in the pic is 6'6" and 320lbs.. so if the fish dont look as big as i say it is thats why.. i did masure it at 24 &1/2 inches tho.. the lbs is just a guess on my part..
