Diver's Fins
#1
While on my recent trip I was able to borrow these for an afternoon.

I didn't notice any difference in power.
I normally use these fins............

I have a pair 1/2 the size of your second pic. They are a split design, more compact to carry, and get me around well. I have always wanted to try a larger pair, but don't know anyone who has any. Not to many divers in MO. I haven't met any tubers either. Oh well I might find a cheap pair at a garage sale somewhere. Tony

Sounds like the ones you have are very adequate. Nice that you were able to put them to the test for a side by side comparison. If the ones you have are adequate that should be the end of it. No others required.

A couple of things that I like about the diver's fins I use...

1. They have a super soft foot pocket. Very comfortable compared to the Creek Company fins I used before, which were rather rigid. Even though the CC models were "one size fits all" they never really fit my feet once I slid on socks, booties, and neoprenes. The ones I use now are super comfy, with or without the extra socks.

2. They have a quick snap and release buckle. One they are adjusted you need only slide the tootsies into the pockets and snap the sides. You're ready to go.

Lots of ways to accomplish the same thing.

[cool][#0000ff]It is nice that we have so many choices in fins these days. That was not always the case. In the "olden days" there were no special "tubing" fins and the divers' fins were usually made of hard black rubber with nothing available in the larger sizes that would accomodate the bulk of a multilayered tuber's wader foot.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]As always, choice of fins is a matter of personal preference. According to your size, strength and type of fishing, you can choose from a wide range of attachment systems, blade sizes and stiffness, colors, etc. [/#0000ff]
