Hi everyone!
The UDWR will be sampling on Bear Lake on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; October 23, 24, 25 and 26. I am short handed and really need some help. If anyone wants to help pull gillnets with me, please respond to this post and/or send me a private message. I need two assistants per day and it will be first come-first served. We will be on the UDWR boat so all you need to bring is warm clothes. I can provide rain gear to keep dry if needed. I would need the assistants to be at the marina at Bear Lake at 8:00am each morning. We should be off the lake around noon and then we will process fish afterwards. This will take about 2 hours max. Anyway, if anyone is a "dedicated hunter" this counts as service for that program. If you are not a dedicated hunter and just want to volunteer, I would be happy to have you. You are welcome to help just one day or multiple days, whatever you'd like. I will have the volunteers sign a "volunteer form" which lets the UDWR use your hours/mileage for reimbursement for Federal Aid dollars so you are definitely contributing with this effort. And yes, I do know the sampling is the first week of the rifle hunt....sorry, but that is when the sampling is scheduled! Thanks!
