Lake Mead Fishing

They finally moved the pier at hemmen way. It;s now in deeper water, but there is no grass around.

10/1~ Went fishing at hemmen way pier today. No shad cause i showed up late, arrived around 6:30pm. Fishing was slow for the first hour. Little ones here and there. Around 8:00pm they started biting pretty good. Left around 11:30, i landed 35 fish.

10/2~ Fishing again at hemmen way. Arrived at 5:30pm. Threw the net 3 times. Filled my 2 buckets and 4 other peoples buckets with shad. Fishing was wonderful. Non-stop for an hour and a half. Ended up with 20 stripper and one smallmouth. Left at 8:00pm.

Just thought id write a little report for all to read.

Thanks for the report, Nick. Would you mind telling me where Hemmen Way is? Is that in the Boulder Basin?

Thanks for the info. Wow, I didn't realize the shad got that big at Mead. I've seen them boil a few times at Gov't Wash but they didn't appear to be that big. That means the stripers aren't doing their job. Thanks again.
