Front yard fishing

[cool][#0000ff]It's been rainy in Washington lately. Here is a post from a Washington angler fishing in the rising waters of the river in his front yard. Looks like a small salmon or a steelie.[/#0000ff]

Well the Skok was at 26,100 cfs this evening. Nobody was getting across the bridge over the Skok, or the bridge at what use to be Purdy Creek before it was swallowed by the Skok. Landslides on the North end of the Skok have shut down traffic, diverting up through Union. Landslides reported down the Purdy Creek cutoff (this was a secondhand report). Water over the road and passage down Purdy creek road is impossible.

I've been waiting for 2 years to get a chance to fish this at flood stage. Now here are the pics. Enjoy. I'm soaked or I'd post more. 15 fish caught and released in about and hour and a half.

Nothing like a little river front property. I can hear it now. Sorry boss I just can't make it to work today cause the river has risen too high. Sorry wife I can't get any yard work done today the river has risen too high and covered the yard. Guess there is just one thing
left to...........Now where did I put that steelie rod....Oh here it is. Should I fish the front porch drift or the back porch drift that funnels down toward the garage. I think I'll try both! Ok here goes the first cast, oh that was a good one.....saw one rising over there earlier. Oh he hit it. Yeh baby we gottem now. Oh crap he taking line right up the driveway. Don't let him get wrapped around that little pine tree we planed last spring. If he ever makes it around the corner and gets wrapped up in the swingset he'll surely break me off. Hmmmmmmm...... Sounds like a perfect day to me!

That's crazy!!! I wonder what time he had to get up to arrive at his fishing spot? LOL. We have to get up at 5, get all the gear together, drive, then unload to get on the water at sunrise. All he has to do is put on a pair of waders and walk out the front door. I'd have to say that's the best fishing shack I've ever seen.
