Happy New Year

[cool][size 1][#0000ff]Well folks, we are just about finished with 2006. For some of us it has been great. For others it is has been a year they would rather see done and over.

[/#0000ff][#0000ff]Some of our members have experienced personal tragedies or health problems during the past year. We wish everybody the best, and we must all be thankful for the good health and blessings most of us take for granted.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have had a good year all around. I have been able to accomplish many of the angling goals I set early in the year, and have caught fish on almost every one of my 93 fishing excursions this year. I did not get to hit all of the waters I targeted at the first of the year, but I really smacked the ones I fished often. I also missed some of the species I wanted to add to my list this year, but made up for it in numbers on other species.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Best yet was that I have been able to meet many more BFTers this past year, and have enjoyed sharing the water with a lot of you. I look foward to meeting even more members next year. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]We have a pretty neat family here. And, by the looks of the new names on the board, we are growing quickly. I have my work cut out for me if I want to keep up.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]A special thanks to all of you members. You make it easy to be a moderator. Not much I have to do most days except read and enjoy the posts and pics just like everybody else. We have a pretty well behaved group of anglers who do a great job of reporting trips and contributing good information when other members post questions.[/#0000ff]

I wish you guys a Happy New Year as well.

I am proud of some of the accomplishments I made this year and only dismay 2 of them.

I managed to accomplish a leaky bladder and leaky waders on the same trip. (Winter Catfish have no manners)

Other than that I did alright.[cool]

They have medicine to help that leaky bladder...the waders you can probably fix []

A small dab of Aqua Seal was all that was needed to fix the leaky waders.[cool] It took 2 or 3 swigs of the stuff to stop the leaky bladder.[pirate] Just look at it this way. No more emergency trips to the shore.[]
