Holmes Creek Reservoir & Pineview Reservoir 1/11/07
#1
Fished Holmes Creek with lunkerhunter2 this morning. It was a constant snow storm and I quickly learned that I didn't treat my insulated coveralls with water repellent as well as I thought that I did. [Sad] After getting soaked to the bone I joined Brody in his Quick Fish III tent. I was impressed with how roomy they are, how compact and light they are, and how easy they are to put up and take down. I will own one just as quickly as it takes to be shipped (seem to be out of stock locally). As for the fishing I was schooled by Brody. I will let him report his catch. I managed 6 rainbows (I wanted a catfish). At 11:30 Brody headed home and I fished for about another 45 minutes, and then packed up and headed for Pineview. I fished The Narrows in various depths. I caught 5 black crappie (largest 11 inches) all in 52 feet of water, and I caught a bluegill in shallower water. Surprisingly, no perch this trip.
