What species are bitting in S.C. right now?

I'm headed down to south carolina this week to look for a mate possition. however, i won't be able to resist putting a line in the water while i'm down there. I will be traveling from Charleston up to murrells inlet almost daily on the job hunt. i don't have a boat so i would like to stop off and do some pier fishing. I've never been to the coast in the winter though, so i don't know what species of fish are around and what they are bitting on. If anyone has info on the fishing or any good piers or places to fish i would love to here it. I will be alone in S.C. from Jan 17 -23 so if anyone wants to go fishing, drop me a line.
