OT: dog training clubs in UT
#1
How many of you take your dogs fishing? My old dog is too arthritic to get in my boat (and too stinking heavy for me to lift her in). I got a new hood ornament for it, though.

Now that I've made this fishing related, here's my real question: I'm looking dog training clubs here in UT. Either in SL or UT counties. That would be hunting dogs.

I'm not looking for a trainer. I'm looking for a club where guys get together each weekend with their hunting dogs to go through some more advanced training in groups and provide some socialization for dogs (and owners).

I know these are popular in some areas. Just not sure about Utah.

Thanks.

RuttCrazed: I'm in northern Utah county. I have a 18 week old lab puppy I've been working with following Wolter's Game Dog. I want to hunt waterfoul and upland with him. Older lab was trained professionally. This time I'm hoping to do it myself. Oh, and I have a big net I use for macs and tiger muskies.

IFG: To whom and what are you talking about??

Gumbo,

I run pointing dogs and wouldn't be much help to you, but try this site and ask around in either the "Hunting Dog" section or the "Waterfowl" section.

I'd love to help, but I didn't write that. I think I know who did and she will be dealt with. I saw nothing in your post that was offensive. Sorry for the rant, but it wasn't me.
