We have a group of 6-10 scouts and 4-6 leaders. Most have never ice fished. They asked me to help them on Saturday morning. I am not a very good at ice fishing but I am willing to try. If any of you true ice fishermen/women are going to be at Strawberry and would like to help me it would be greatly appreciated. They are planning on Mud Creek area. Some of the scouts and leaders are spending the night but I will be joining them in the morning (chicken, yes!!!). Any pointers to help in their success would also be appreciated. Thanks

Is there any place near the marina to build snow caves or pitch a tent or two? Thanks for the suggestion.

There is not enough snow anywhere in the Strawberry Valley to build snow caves. 1 ft maybe 2 at most. The snow is not deep enough to cover the sage brush. It has been a different year for snow up there. If you want to build snow caves you would have to stay around Daniels Summitt and even then you are pushing it for snow depth. As far as fishing goes, Mudcreek like others have said is not the best place to be. If you have sleds or are willing to walk a ways try the Bryants for area.
