I see people on the golf course every day, just don't see the reason for it, I'd rather chase the wife around than a little gold ball!

[cool][#0000ff]You're fortunate to have the nice family you have, including your lovely wife. It is understandable that you would forego golf to spend more time with her. But, I notice that you DO get away to go fishing sometimes. Choices, choices.[/#0000ff]

Hey Moose. Have you ever seen the nice bass in those golf course lakes?? They ae almost worth the fee to play a round of golf and just stay off to the side with the Shimano wedge.[cool]

TubeN2: The community we are looking into has 2 lakes, I'm told they are stocked, but don't know what they're stocked with, both are surrounded by the community golf course. They have a 10 acre lake and a 30 acre lake, looks like they pump the water from a well to keep the lakes full, but not sure, I don't see any streams flowing into them, but haven't looked around. We're looking in the Tehachapi area, need horse property that won't break the bank, we just need to squeeze it a little, but prices are closer to Utah than LA County.

Hey Moose. If is is near Tehachipi, the chances are that it will be hit with with the House Poker 4 of a kind.

Trout in the winter, Cats in the summer, Bass for all year and usually some kind of Panfish in the Sunfish/Perch family. (I know, I know, LMB are also in the Perch family)

They will usually put BlueGills, Red Breasted Sunfish, Green Sunfish or anything in the general familie guidlines.

Some places will even plant Carp to help the LMB to keep the ecology up.

Sooooooooo, Bring your Streamers, dryflies, Spinners,Corn and the Shimano wedge. There is some fun to be had out here in Cali.[cool]

I will be definitely checking out the lakes, but first things first, I need to get the family moved & the place all ready for the horse/s before I start spend quality time with the fishing gear. Of course I don't have much any more I gave or sold most of what I had before I sold my house. But, this is warm water, warm temp kind of fishing, I'll build a new collection of gear. The area we are concentrating on is Bear Valley Springs, just outside of Tehachapi. The have the quality horse stuff my daughter is looking for.
