Walleye thru Ice!

Hit Deer Cr this mornin and right off the bat fish on bottom 24' stuck my jig down to 22' and big hit reeled in WALLEYE!!! 1st ever not real big but awesome[] did catch 20 or so trout with one big b*stard that broke off top of hole probably atleast 26" fish damn! but kept some for the table, here some pics!

[cool]Great report, and congrats on that 'eye! Catching an eye through the ice is something to be very proud of in THIS state this ice season. You are one of the few that can say they've done that. How big was that bigger 'bow in the pic? Also, too bad that big b*stard broke you off, but I'll be the fight was fun, eh?

The ice is pretty good! solid 11"-12" with about 1/2" of snow but that will be gone by today, the shore starts melting alittle by noon but not bad. The bigger bow was 19" but seem so small to that big B*stard he was one big hog! I fought him for a good 5 min then another 5 at the top of hole just didn't want his head to come straight up then he finally busted my line[] but real nice fish!

Wow, you are the MAN! I've only seen walleye at Cabela's since fall, and they won't let me catch those!

I ain't selfish to tell anybody where I fish! I was just north of Walburg bay, I was getting ready to tell Chuck where I fished he just got all mad before he gave me a chance to tell? must of had a bad night at work? But I caught all my fish on them AWESOME Maniac Cutr's (pearl color) tipped with mealies! its alittle walk to get where I fished though! parked at rainbow bay and walked south towards Walburg bay. That easy! I have never not explained where I fished thats what this site is for to help other fisherman[] RIGHT?
