Oregon bouy 10 Salmon
#1
I am headed to Oregon in August and plan to do the bouy 10 thing. I was wondering if anyone had gone out with Joe Salvey? He has been at the outdoor expo the last couple of years and I thought I would give him a try. Has anyone used a guide in the Astoria area that they can vouch for??
Any help would be much appreciated.

I grew up in Oregon and fishing bouy 10 in late August was alot of fun. Joe is a great guide and know's his stuff well! Another excellent guide is David Johnson. I have fished with Dave many a times and would recomend him to anyone. The bouy 10 season fills up fast, if not already full, so book your trip asap! One hint for you is to look at the tides and figure out what days have the best morning tides to fish. Fish are caught usually after an incoming tide and then while the water is going back out. Look for an early morning incoming tide (5am) and that should be good.

Check out this NW fishing board - it is hands down the best around!

Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for the info. I do appreciate it. I called Joe after your vote of confidence. I am looking forward to spending a couple of weeks in the Astoria area this August.
