Sat Morning on the Pond
#1
I spent this morning out on the pond. I managed to stay out a few hours, until my back started hurting so bad I couldn't take it anymore. It was a good time to get off anyway the slight 20 MPH breeze started up. I only managed to bring up 1 pup today and couldn't even stand up to hold it. You guys won't have to endure my posts all that much longer I will be having back surgery in 3 weeks and don't have but maybe 1 or 2 trips left until then. LOL.

Nice pup. Sheesh, it's hard to believe that is a pup. Ha. Good on ya. Bummer bout the back thing. You'll be much better after the surgery for sure. Just be sure to take it easy and it will heal nicely.

What boat are you running? I'm looking for a new boat and I think I want something like you have. Do you have any pics of your boat. You have a 115 on it I see. What type of speed do you get with it?

Thanks

Ya I wouldn't let them cut on me either but my left leg pretty much quit working from a pinched nerve. Doc says no fishin for 6 weeks after so that pretty much ruins the begining of summer. Oh well. Good luck on your trip with Jim, I think that is the last weekend I will be hitting the pond.

Nice looking fish. If you would catch smaller fish, then you would not be needing this surgery. Concentrate on the smaller ones now.

Sorry to hear about the back. I know how it feels, I have part of a hardware store installed in mine after a wreck on a horse. Have you heard of any reports from Fontenelle?

As always thanks for posting your report and the great picture. The only part of your posts that we ever have to endure is the drool coming from the corner of our mouths[Wink]. Most of us wish we were so lucky to be so close to such a great fishery and have your knowledge on catching those pups[Smile]. Thanks again and good luck on your surgery. WH2

No Reports from Fontenelle. I was by there last Wednesday and it is still cold and windy (Typical Wyoming April) and the resevoir is still really low. I am leaving in today to go to Fort Collins Co. for buisness for two weeks so I won't be around Fontenelle until I get back. I will let you know more then.

I'm having a discectomy L5 S1. Doc says it is the best back surgery to have if you need to have one. The bad thing is I cant lift anything for 2 weeks, nothing over 10lbs for four weeks after that. So I guess fishin for the Macks is out for awhile. Its my own fault though I hurt it last December and I have went through everything to try and avoid surgery and it didn't work.

Wyobraz,

I feel for ya. Are you sure you can't hook'em & reel'em, let someone else due the lifting.

Myself have about a 30% slip on the L5/S1 . Its a Bi@$# sometimes. I am going to grin & bear it as long as I can. I am not fond on new hardware store myself.

Keep posting while your not on the pond. I am sure we'd all like to hear from ya. Best of Luck.[unsure]
