Coeur d'Alene in late June/July
#1
A fortunate set of circumstances is going to have my wife and I spending a few days around Coeur d'Alene Idaho with very little to do. We're not taking the boat, but rental is a possibility.

I'm hoping someone with experience in that area can offer suggestions for good fishing areas.

Thanks.

There is some big trout in lake coeur d' alene. I grew up in spokane and fished it regularly. I always did well there fishing the points where the bays met open water. if your fishing flies or spinners, take a drive up to st. maries and fish the st. joe river above st. maries. there are some small lakes off to the side like lake benewah that are pretty shallow and usually hold a few bass. you can usually rent a boat at the coeur d alene resort and you might want to try trolling for some pike. Hayden lake is about twenty minutes away by the town of rathdrum. theres some good bass fishing there and some monster crappie. its been a few years, but thats what I remember. good luck!
