I started my holiday weekend on Saturday up Fairview canyon on skyline drive. Fished Huntington in the morning and caught one tiger trout. My buddy who was using his pontoon for the first time also had just one fish. Since it was slow and the wind was blowing we tried potter's ponds. It may have been a little to easy up there, but after a rough morning we had fun.
Sunday I went up to D.C. by myself and fished around the island. I ended up beaching myself on the far side of the island because of the wind. Stayed on the shore for a few hours waiting for the wind to die down. It never happened. I did manage to pull out a few dozen bass and green sunfish while I waited.
Where did you end up fishing?

Monday My wife and I took a ride up to Mirror Lake. The lake was still frozen except for a very small spot by the outlet. A couple of people were fishing there and were catching fish, but to crowded to put in a line. Drove down to Teapot Lake and put a line in there for about an hour. No bites , but did see others with fish. My biggest problem is that I'm still geared up for ice fishing. I need to get my tackle box ready for summer fishing.

Spent most of the weekend cleaning my cluttered garage. But managed to sneak up to Jordanelle for a couple of hours yesterday morning. No catching just a bit of wind and a nice escape form the cleaning and reorganizing I have been doing.

Had plans of going to Starvation but turns out it was pretty crowded. Went to Henry's Fork up above Mountain View where we pretty much had the smaller remote lakes/streams to ourselves. Caught tons of rainbow/cut over the weekend. Was a really good time.

Went to Pineview Saturday a.m....was very cold. So was the fishing. Went across the big street over to Willard...and the fishing there was just as cold.
This weekend should be good, as Saturday will be the 4th day of high pressure.
I shouldn't have even gone out on Saturday with that cold front moving in. I know better.

I used to N.ot have E.nough T.ime O.ff to go fishing. Then I retired. Now I have less time than I had before. Sheesh.

Went to LBH on Saturday, caught about half a dozen crappie and a few LMB. Couldn't get any carpskis to bite--someone needs to teach me so I can do my part to eradicate the evil ones. Saw a few people with 5 gallon buckets full of tiny crappie and bluegill--odd.

Wound up going on the Middle Provo. Fished some plastics, fish kept coming unbuttoned. Went down a little further and switched to a spinner. Lots of fish... NO size to any of them. It was a good day for wildlife sightings though and at least there were no skunks around. [cool]
