Pineview 5/28
#1
My son (Scott) and I headed up to pineview this morning for our annual skunk trip for muskies. We did a little better but still didn't get any muskies into the boat. Scott had the first action. A big one (40"?) hit and then came flying out of the water about three feet. Then dove under the boat and wrapped the line around something kept the lure and kept going. A little later he had a couple of smaller ones follow the replacement lure up the boat. He claims the the lure the muskie kept was better and thats why the fish wouldn't hit.

About 20 minutes later it was my turn. I hooked two in about five casts. The first came off as Scott was reaching out to land it for me. The second came off just as it came into view next to the boat. They were both smaller (30"-).

The next fish that I hooked put up a lot more fight. I told Scott this has got to be a big one. But it turned into the Golden Bone.

We got blown off the lake about 1:00 after catching three smallmouth. One for Scott and two for me.

Too bad you didn't get to touch one this time. Nce job on the golden bone though.[cool] I have caught quite a few using large lures even bigger than the one in your pic.

I hate when the tigers do that! They get right up to the boat and jump out of the water and shake their heads and thats the end of the fight. I have lost a lot of tigers like that.

Hey, great post. Me and a friend of mine were up there also and we landed 2 25-30 inch muskies but that was it. We were in a little aluminum boat so the wind was making it tough.

Thats a nice looking golden bone, you should post that in the gar, carp and catfish board. Im sure people would love to see that! I lived 20 mins from pineview foe 4 years and all I ever caught when I went tiger fishing was smallmouths, cant really complain though. But it sure would be nice to land one of those big musky [cool]
