I am looking for a good spot to take my kids fishing. I have been to the Roy Pond a couple times and never any luck. I am just looking for a good spot with perch or the like that we can fish from the bank. Just something that keeps my girls entertained and get them on some fish. Thanks for any help. FO

First let me welcome you.
Not sure what your schedule is this next week but I will be trying my hand at a few places and you and your girls are welcome to come along. I myself have 4 girls and many times the fishing turns into a swimming trip. We could go out in a boat and possibly have some better luck. Mantua is pretty good most of the time. If Willard picks up we may be able to take some of the older ones out that way for some wipers. I think pineview is getting better and may be a good spot to hit. I have a 18' boat with 6 seats and most of the time it is just me and one or two daughters.
Judging by your trips to Meadow creek pond we are close so that should not be a problem.
PM me if you are interested in going this week, (I have to catch enough fish for a fathers day fish fry).

Welcome to the site Fish_Off. There are a lot of comunity ponds along the front, if you want some good ideas, go by one of the DWR offices and ask for a booklet they have on where they are located. This link should help you out also, DWR web site. Good luck. WH2

I can remember as a young'un when my father took me to the Honeyville pond and we did very well. That was a blast!

Honeyville pond is north of Brigham City.
You take the Honeyville/Crystal Springs exit and head east.
Just after you go over the railroad tracks there is a right turn.
Go to the end of the road and park.
The pond is back over the tracks.
The fields around the pond are private so respect their land so we can use the ponds in the future.
