..in general Sundays are not good for me.. have an obligation.. next Saturday the 27th is out.. again an obligation I cannot get out of.. but..

November third or tenth is good for me as far as I know.. Saturday the 17th I have family coming in from out of town and would like to try to set up a fishing day that week if one is available.. give my son in law a chance to meet up with some good people..

[left][#005028][cool]Nov 3rd or 10th works for me too.[/#005028][/left] [left][#005028]Hopefully the winds will have died down and all of the fires put out. Half of the leaves in the neighborhood wound up in the bottom of my pool. But the worse part was the downing of a cypress tree in my back yard. Duh like I don't have enough chores to do as it is.[/#005028][/left]

[#005028][mad]Are the fishing Gods trying to tell us something? There is a fire up there around Castaic [TubeN2s hangout], Irvine Lake area is closed due to the 241 fire and 15 is closed in both directions due to a fires down by MacFly. Also the 15 was closed around the 210 which wouldn't let one get up to Silverwood Lake. In Lake arrowhead numerous homes have been lost. There are several lakes in all of those areas.[pirate][/#005028]

.... was thinking that myself. in my area Lake Wohlford, Lake Poway, Lake Hodges are or may be affected plus strong possibility of problems with Lake Dixon. and most specifically is Discovery Lake that is in or very near the San Marcos area (San Elijo Hills/Discovery area)....

.. I know in my gut we will all get together but it does seem like there are "outside forces" keeping us at bay for now...

As the fires push us away from our lakes, it is giving us the signal to hit some Salt. Salt doesn't burn.[cool]

ahhhhhhh that is true.. but did hear earlier today that some are predicting the fires down here may reach the ocean at the Solan Beach area... later today though other experts were saying an off shore wind is blowing in and looks to be strong enough to keep or stop the Santa Anna at about the western side of Carlsbad.. plus there are suppose to be 8 to 12 c130's coming in via the national guard that are rigged for fire fighting.. they will be staging in Pt Magoo and have the capability of taking care of or being a huge support to fire fighting in all fire areas.. plus they released 2 - 3 large Navy copters rigged for fire fighting late this afternoon.. and these birds are larger and more able to handle wind conditions and a larger water/retardant capacity greater than calfire/cdf birds.. so hopefully they will start to get this under control in the next day or so.. or sooner..

...potassium nitrate.. hmmmmmmm but funny you mention gunpowder..

.. part of the evacuation for parts of Fallbrook is to go to the east gate of Camp Pendelton and then be escorted acroos the the base via Ammo road.. that borders the ammunition dump on the base.. now dont know about you but if the fire is moving across Fallbrook toward base.. and that ammo dump is in the way.. wouldnt you be concerned if... God forbid.. that fire crosses into the base.. I mean all that is there to stop it is a bunch of Marines.. ???

[#005028][cool]Does the ½ day available on the 3rd & 10th mean that you will be able to fish Lake Elsinore in the morning?[/#005028]

1/2 day does mean get in, fish and be off the lake by 11:30. There are some days that I do Bartending so I must be home and do the 3 S's by 3:00pm.[Sad]

Open all day means that I am available till the lake dries up.[Smile]

Deckhand means that a particular ocean boat needs my fishing and filleting skills to make a living for the day.

If there are no hits on another open day, that means I will be going out on a boat or float tube somewhere else in the Salt to satify the fishing bug in my waders.[cool]

or use by loading them with fire retardant and/or water to use on the harris and witch fires in particular.. if conditions are good they should be up at first light Wednesday morning..

btw.. did you get that tree cleared? if not the offer to come up to help is still open...

[cool][#005028]Hey Mac the scene of that DC10 dropping foscheck in the Lake Arrowhead area was on TV. Wouldn't doubt it that by now Utube should have a copy. Haven't done a thing with the tree or my pool until the wind slows down. It is 8:15am Wed and the wind is still blowing pretty good. However, nothing of the magnitude of the past several days. Do appreciate the offer of help with my tree but will have my neighbors gardener chop it up and haul it away. I do have a chain saw but not the means to haul all that rubble to the dumps. I won't complain one bit about my wind damage after seeing so many people lose their homes. MGBT[/#005028]

It looks like Macfly might be cool with the 18th. I'm fine with it too.

I was thinking that if we couldn't get enough tubers, we could rent one of the Pontoon Boats that they have at Corona. We can get it without the canopy for the flyswatters.[cool]

18th of jan. might work for me HA HA HA
If things work right and I don't have to bring any gear cause we would get skunkered anyways so we could bypass the water and get drunk and trash one of you guys homes
