As the water's churn and the chill's in the air, the news from the fishbowl is near...
The ice is now forming along the rims of the lakes...
the report from Mystic Minnows is clear...
No ice on Strawberry...no fishable ice will be on Strawberry until December 15th at the earliest...maybe not even then.
Ray Daynes...ice over 3/4 of the pond.
Huntington...the lake is iced over with the exception of the west end where the spring enters the lake. Ice by the dam is 1 - 1 1/2 inches thick and fishable if you have a strong heart...and not too many seconds on that turkey dinner.
Fairview Lakes...iced over.
Cleveland...patchy ice.
Scofield has ice forming in the shallows but no fishable ice yet.
Most all lakes above 8500 feet are forming ice. Above 9500 feet should have fishable ice already.
