Scofield Ice Conditions, Any Help Here,

Hello to all, I am new to this and I looked last year for ice updates and what was hot. I live in Riverton and am planning on ice fishing Scofield on Sunday. Anyone know what the ice conditions are right now at Scofield. I gather it has ice, but how much. Thanks to all you guys and I appreciate the info you all post constantly, it is great.

[#0000ff]Bottom line, there is ice over a good part of the lake, but so far it is thick enough for drillin' and chillin' only in a small area near the dam, where it is protected from the wind.[/#0000ff]

I understand that the reservoir was froze over on Tuesday a.m. (11/27). However, the wind blew on Wednesday and opened up approximately 30-40% of the reservoir surface. It was again froze over this morning, Thursday (11/29). Temperature in Scofield Valley was approx 23 degrees at day break today.

The only safe ice appeared to be the first 100 yds upstream of the dam. The rest of the reservoir looks spooky. I would give it another few days to a week.

Well, we know there has been snow. Whats the latest on the ICE ?

Where will we find ICE conditions on other waters??

This is the right place to find out about current ice conditions, of course some one will need to post a report when they get out there[]. The only report of good ice so far is Huntington and the lakes along the Mirror lake highway. I've sure that will change soon, so stay tuned for the latest updates. WH2
