Thursday at Scofield
#1
I am going to try my first shot at the ice this year at Scofield this Thursday. I would be looking for anyone who would like to come and join the outing. PM me if interested.

I will be coming from the north. I live in Davis county. What time are you looking to head up there? I would like to be in Spanish Fork by 6:00 AM.

I plan to be at Scofield by around 7. I'll start by the dam. I'd offer to give you a ride, but I'll probably go to Huntington and down through Fairview to go home. I don't mind company while fishing though- look for a red F350 four door with a shell.

Three words. Other Drivers, Wind. The wind can really make it an experience especially up on top. Some folks do not understand that because you can drive that fast you drive that fast.
I will try and post results from my trip early enough so you can see them. Good luck!!!!

I'm not taking a shot at your moderating skills TD, so take no offense.
The gentlemen that are planning to meet each other at Scofield is (to me) a very important part of this general discussion forum. I'm glad to see members on the forum interacting and planning trips. It lets the new people to this forum know that they can also meet with other bft'ers up at the lake or invite us to go along. Alot of my trips have been with bft members this year but it took me a couple years to warm up to the idea of fishing with a stranger. Now I am glad that I did, I learned alot of techniques, new water, and alot about trout fishing.
Now, granted most of these trips were set up by pm's after an invite on the forum but I don't think anyone should have to be limited to pm's while planning a trip. If said post wasn't replied to it would have dissapeared into the depths of page number 2 (Scary, I know). I have been thinking about heading up there by just reading the posts.
I guess my point is that if people are going to feel comfortable fishing with other bft members that they do not know we are going to have to set an example that this forum is a great place to meet other fisherpeople by letting them plan a trip within a post, heck, others may join them. The more the merrier, right?
If I am wrong I'll let this go, I should have started a new topic but does anyone agree with me or am I up in the night?

[cool][#0000ff]Don't misunderstand. We have no policy or even strong feelings about folks using the boards to meet up. But once two guys are going back and forth about who will bring the refreshments and all that, they should take care of the details by PM.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]As you point out, our little playroom is a great place to meet new fishing buddies. I have met a lot myself. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You are neither all right or all wrong. A matter of degree. No set policies, just a suggestion. No need to get your panties in a bunch.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]If you need something to do you can still come over and look at the goodies I have left and bring that transducer.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Whoops. That should have been in a PM.[/#0000ff]
