Call me crazy, but it looks like I'm now a partner in the ownership of a 30' Tollycraft Sedan Cruiser berthed at Lake Mead Marina. Here's a few pictures:

A real sea-going vessel!

State of the art 1973 technology!

One of the twin Dodge engines.
I may never leave the lake now!

Don't laugh I had a tojan and those 70's engines were still running in the salt everyweekend never winterized for 30 years by the prior owner than by me for a few years. Keep a nice 2500-3000 cruise and they never die.

My hearty congrats to you, Baysport. You have officially found a good alternative to the houseboat. I look forward to hearing about your overnight ventures in your new boat.
Best regards,
Paul

My pard, Don is a mechanic, and thinks that they should be okay. The engines have been sitting for a year and need a little TLC before we can fire them up. We are planning on working on them next week. I think your right, those engines have a lot of life left in them.

The only real problem was that with the older boats you could have a starter breakdown. They last for a long time and when they go bad, well they hang onto the running engine. What a mess that was.

Just got a new Trophy Walk Around 21', might have to head down to Mead, how has the fishing been. I have heard there were some good size Strippers near Hemingway and island, is this true ?
