Jordan River.
#1
I had an hour to fish so I went to the closest place to me with open water (Jordan River) since my ice fishing equipment was in the vehicle my wife had [crazy]. I went down by the bridge you cross on the main road out to Eagle Mountain. I went hoping to catch a few white bass and instead caught a walleye. No complaints on my part. Its the only fish I landed the hour I was there, all though I had a few other bites. I caught the walleye on a green rooster tail of all things.

No,no,no...you got it all wrong. "I went down to the river today to focus on catching some walleye and my hard work paid off" [Wink]. Good job on the walleye, I've only caught a handfull out of there and it was by accident. I've always wanted to float down the river in an aluminum boat and hit the pockets that "I see fit" on the South end.

[cool]Nice going on the 'eye from the river. Walleye's actually sometimes like those rooster tails. There is a little lake about an hour away from Reno towards Fernley/Silver Springs/Fallon called Lake Lahontan and it's a killer white bass fishery, but also has walleye. I remember trolling for whities with rooster tails and you'd occassionally get a walleye on one. White, red, and yellow were the killer colors back then...
