At Pelican there is a lot of open water near shore on the east end by Tubers swimmin hole. You can get on the ice at the boat ramp, but it's getting rotten and developing large fractures. Hey Bassrods, I predict open water with the next big wind. I give it about a week depending on the temp and wind.
Steinaker and Red Fleet have good solid thick ice.
The road to Brough is a muddy nightmare. Wait a week or two.
Pelican is always the first water to ice off here, so you can assume the other Basin waters are still good for ice fishing.

]thanks Kayote for the report. I wanted to get to pelican lake ice fishin this winter but every weekend the weather turned to crap and I was'nt able to make it over this winter but I'm getting the boat ready. thanks
