Allen Waders
#1
Anyone have experience with Allen breathable waders?

Costco has a pair of Allen waders for around $70. I don't remember the model but they look just like the "Yellowstone" model in the site below (same chest pocket, reinforced knees, etc.)

I need to get a inexpensive pair and was going to get Cabelas Bluestream waders, but then I saw the Allens and was wondering if they are any good.

Also, anyone noticed that the price of an ODC 420 is now $225 at Cabelas? Seems like I paid around $160 last summer.

[cool][#0000ff]No experience with those waders. I don't know anybody who has them. But, from past experience, Costco does try to sell quality stuff. I bought a pair of Sterns waders from them a long time ago...at a super price...and they held up through three years of hard use.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]No surprise about the cost of tubes going up. All of the nylon, PVC and other plastic components are made from petroleum products. Have you seen what is happening to the cost of gas these days? Still, I can't see more than a part of a barrel of oil in a float tube.[/#0000ff]

Yep... bought some a few weeks back and have zero complaints. Very nice, and a very good price.

I think LH2 just scored a pair too! [cool]
