Lincoln Beach Fish Report from 3/22/08. Sorry its late!!!
#1
It started out to be a windy son of a gun. First couple of hours...NOTHING!! I met up with Firemountain, and we just couldn't tell if we were getting bites or not cause of the wind. We fish the south dike... northside, eastside, and finally the southside. Parked the truck behind us to block the wind, but the wind steadily began to slow to a complete stop. Turned out to be a nice day... SUNBURN TOO!!
Anyway, with several fisherman down there, at the time, only a few mudcats[unsure]. I hate those things!! Then I had a good whack on the pole, and I felt something heavy, then it came off. Till this point, there was no action. I think that bite was around 11am. Then I got another bite, and drug in a 2lb channel[sly]. WOO HOO!!! ITS ON!!! A fluke or not? NOPE!! About 15 minutes later, I landed a 5 lb'er!!! YES!![cool] OK OK OK... to make a long story short, several small channels were caught between about 4 of us. I took home 6 Channels, two were 11 lbs, one 9 lbs, a 7 lb'er, a 5 lb'er, and the little 2.5 lb'er. It was a good day.
One of the 11 lb'ers took my son's pole in the water with him, but my boy was able to get it and the fish with a little coaching from Firemountain. Thanks buddy!!
The fish were in 4-5 ft of water, and were hitting pretty hard.
Any questions about this trip, just PM me.

I will try to have some pics in the next few days or so.
