Just throwing this out there for now -- possible Lake Powell trip
#1
I know it is a little early for posting this but I am planning a trip to powell on memorial day weekend. Probably leaving friday morning and leaving powell about noonish monday. It worked great last year with 4 of us.I am not sure yet if my wife or fish4fish will be able to make it this year.Sooooo if they cant i have room for 3 people on my boat.I have a durango with plenty of room and my 16 ft boat can hold 4 people a little tight but we managed to be comfortable. Three in the back and one in the front fishing. Gets a little hectic when all rods go down but fun. Is there anyone that would be interested in going those date? Expenses would not be that bad for 4 people i dont remember how much we spent last year i am going to have to add everything up. I am thinking we spent about $125-$150 per person total. But gas is more expensive this year so it might go up. Does anyone know how much the park entrance fee is i dont remember.

There is no reason for gas to be more then that this year, we would be more prepared this go around. camp closer and dont go back and forth will save loads

You are right this time i know what to expect and will not get lost and burn all that extra gas !! [Tongue] Plus dont need to take all the extra crap like you know who brought! [mad] Do you remember how much was the entrance fee ? I figured about 4 tank fulls for the durango and about 20 gallons for the boat. Probably even less than that depending were we campout. That one spot we were in had plenty of largemouths and catfish and that monster what ever it was that spooled 20lb test of my reel! For a bit there i thought i was back on the ocean. Keep me in touch if you wanna go that way i can plann ahead.
