I will be heading out to Newton dam this weekend. I have never fished it before and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on where and what to fish. I will be doing bank fishing as well as some boat fishing. I would love to catch my first ever Musky there if you guys could tell me how to do it…[cool]

Hit the inlets with shrubs and trees were you would find the bait fish. Use deep diving crand baits, jerk baits all the above and just stay commited it will pay of. Also you can try some small curly tail jigs and that way you might be able to stay busy with some bass while going after that musky. That has always paid of for me. Good luck and just remember commitment pays off.

I used a tiger perch (I think) rappala with a hinged tail around five inches. Caught a nice tiger and a bass with it in late oct of last year.
