[#0000ff]But, I gotta warn ya. The neighbors will be watching you closely and the kids will run screaming into their house with their toys if they see you coming down the street.[/#0000ff]

I am surprised no one has used the DEER PACKING cart. Nice big wheel, folds up......Peeerrrrfect. Or in my case, I back up my car or trailer right next to the water and unload. Must say I haven't come across to many places I have to PACK my boat that far. I understand DEERCREEK is real low...I should probably fish there more but I don't. About the only place I can think of is Little Dell. But there I just slide my boat down the cliff on the weeds.
I must fish the PERFECT waters, he he, he.

[cool][#0000ff]I have been experiementing with several designs for tube "carts", and have posted my results for several models.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The idea, for me, is to be able to easily transport all of my gear to and from the water...when it is more than a few feet from the vehicle...and then to have a system light enough to be able to take it out on the water with me. That way, if I beach my tube...voluntarily or otherwise...in a different spot...I can reattach the cart and make my way back.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]You mentioned Deer Creek. With the exception of the main ramp, you cannot get anywhere near the water to launch a tube or toon around much of the lake. With the low water, it is at least 100 yards and in a couple of places at least twice that to get afloat.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]My SFC weighs only 12 pounds. But, when I add sonar, battery, rod holder and tool rack...plus several boxes of leadhead jigs and hardware...it is more than I want to pack any distance. I can do it, and have done it, but would rather not.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]There are many other lakes where easy tube access is not available. Having wheeled transportation opens up a lot more angling opportunities for tubers and tooners.[/#0000ff]

I was looking at one of those just the other day, due to the most recent Tubedude posts.

Well,
If she wants to go on a "wagon walk" while I'm fishing with my pontoon that could be a problem. However I'm her main "wagon walking" companion so I think we'll be alright.
She'll probably be on the "toon" with me this year. last year she caught her first fish with me in my Fat Cat tube.
God Bless,
Don
