Headed out with a good friend of mine to a secret spot, and let me just say it was the best fishing action I've had in a few years. A bit breezy, but that wasn't going to stop us- we each probably caught 20-25 trout ('bows and cutts) in the 3 1/2 hrs we spent on the lake. Lost several more, including a big bruiser who broke my line. That will teach me to use 6 # test! Most of the fish we caught were between 17-22" and veryyyyy fat.
It was great to just get away and enjoy a peaceful experience on a remote lake. Need to head there again real soon.

[cool][#0000ff]Nice report. Nice pics. Purty fish and purty scenery.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]But, just a reminder. Fish do not break lines. Fishermen break lines. Poor quality or old line, bad knots, nicks from previous fish, improper drag setting, impatience, etc.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You should be able to land any fish in Utah on good 6# line.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]But, what would a good report (fish story) be without some "Big one that got away".[/#0000ff]

Thanks all. And TD, you're probably right I bet it was a faulty knot. I've always used 6# test and it's always been perfectly fine. (Except when ice fishing of course) Willard? If you can get up here on a weekend, shoot me a PM my friend.
