lily lake/mirror lake

Anyone have info on either of these lakes? I am going camping near Lily next month...what does lily have for fishing? Any info would be appreciated.

Both of those lakes have mostly stocked planter rainbow trout. Last year it was stocked about every 2 or 3 weeks throughout the summer with catchable sized rainbows, as well as some 3 inch brookies. Those will grow naturally in the lake to catchable size.

You should be OK at either lake next month depending on the date of your trip but I would bet that Lily lake is still not reachable now. I have been up there on the 4th of July and not been able to get over the top to the lake because of the snow. Mirror lake is usually fishable a lot earlier but there are more people that fish it because of the developed campground there. WH2

It sure is beautiful there too. There are some albino rainbows in Mirror as well.

I took a Sunday drive back on June 1st up past Lilly and Lost and Trial Lakes. Lost and Lilly still had ice, but it was very thin and coming off on the edges. I would guess both have open water today (11 days later). I could not see Trial as it is off the road and the parking lot had not been cleared. The road was open to less than a quarter mile from the top - they hadn't plowed the last bit and had the snowplow blocking the road - so I could not get over and see Mirror. My experience says Mirror will still be two weeks to ice out. []
